Music
Ministry
To worship and praise God with heart, soul, mind and strength is the goal
of the Music Ministry of Gethsemane. By participating in a wide range
of choral and instrumental groups, persons of all ages are enabled to
offer their gifts in worship, for the benefit of the community, and as
a creative response to God's love.
Gethsemane has a strong musical heritage with a beautifully accoustically
designed sanctuary. All of the choirs are open to all in order to share
the joy of singing. We also invite individuals and small groups to offer
their special gifts of music to enhance our worship throughout the year.
Please contact one of the directors or one of our pastors.
Martin Luther referred to music as the 5th gospel! Gethsemane offers spirit
filled music with worship, offering everything from grand traditional
pipe organ to keyboard, flute and guitar. The heart of music is certainly
the Paul Fort Gethsemane Memorial Pipe Organ.
Talented Gethsemane musicians play traditional pipe organ music with worship
the first, second, fourth and fifth Sunday of each month. The third Sundays,
worship is lead by a music team featuring acoustic guitar, keyboard, piano,
flute and congas. This service is worshipful and uses a bit more contemporary
sound with a liturgical order of service.
You are invited to share music within Gethsemane worship. Call the church
office for the current schedule.
